What makes a good editor, and how do you become one? Most editors were once writers, but editing requires its own special skill set. An editor must know how to offer clear, constructive feedback while inspiring writers to do their best work. They also need to know how to shepherd a piece from pitch to publication, sell story ideas to the editor-in-chief, juggle several issues at once and craft diplomatic responses to pitches and reader mail. This workshop will provide insights into the world of editing that will benefit editors and writers alike. Learn tips for mastering the craft of editing, working with writers and other editors, meeting production deadlines and more.
