Update September 3: The Nittany Lion Inn is sold out for Saturday evening. Rooms remain for all other conference nights. Check for cancellations via phone or reserve at one of the other three discounted hotels.

Traveling to State College

Penn State is located near the geographical center of the state. 
 
By air

The local airport in State College is the University Park Airport (SCE). It is located approximately five miles from the Penn State campus and The Nittany Lion Inn , where the conference will be held. The airlines that service the University Park Airport are:

Taxis and car rentals are available at University Park Airport to get from the airport to your final destination in State College. Uber and Lyft are also available. In addition, guests of the Nittany Lion Inn or the Penn Stater can arrange for a free shuttle to and from the airport. Use your hotel's website to schedule.

By bus

The Megabus offers non-stop service from New York City, Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, and Philadelphia. If purchased in advance, tickets can be less than $10! For detailed schedules, pricing, and ticket purchases visit megabus.com. In State College, the bus arrives in the Walmart Parking Lot at North Atherton Place. Taxis, Uber and Lyft are available for transportation within State College.

Greyhound offers bus services from across the country. Prices and the number of stops vary depending on your origin. Visit Greyhound.com look up schedules, prices, and book tickets. The Greyhound buses arrive at the State College Bus Terminal on North Atherton Street.

Guests of the Nittany Lion Inn or the Penn State can arrange for a free shuttle to and from the bus locations. Contact your hotel to arrange.
 
By car

State College is located within reasonable driving distance of several major airports and urban areas:

Getting around State College

Getting around town simple. Close to 100 restaurants, pubs, and shops are a 10-15 minute walk from the conference's on campus location at the The Nittany Lion Inn. There are many stores, shops, and restaurants no more than 10-20 minutes away by bus, taxi, or car.
 
Centre Area Transit Authority (CATA) bus service

CATA provides bus services on campus and throughout State College. Visit catabus.com routes and schedule. The LOOP and the LINK are free and provide the circulator service around Penn State campus and downtown State College. A single fare regardless of the length of travel is $2 and can be paid in exact change to the bus driver upon boarding the bus.
 
Taxi services

Unlike in larger U.S. cities, taxis are usually called to a specific location rather than hailed from the side of the street. Generally, taxis will be waiting at the airport or the bus station when travelers arrive. If you need a taxi from anywhere but the airport or a bus station, call any of the numbers below.
