Lunch and Learn: New frontiers in science journalism at the AP and The Atlantic

Science coverage at media outlets has been especially vulnerable to downturns in the publishing industry. The Associated Press and The Atlantic have bucked that trend, thanks in part to partnerships with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s Department of Science Education. In this special luncheon session, editors at the two outlets will offer a behind-the-scenes look at groundbreaking new initiatives and enterprising science stories. Seating is limited; admission will be first come, first served.

Moderator: Rich Stone, senior science editor, HHMI

Jon Fahey, health and science editor, The Associated Press
Ross Anderson, senior editor, The Atlantic
