Hal has explored warehouse husks filled with insects for human consumption in Ohio, watched dead rivers come back to life in Mexico, rescued a hexacopter from the side of a volcano in Bolivia, debated basic income in a sauna with 12 naked Finns, seen the world’s greatest robots fail to climb a set of stairs — all in pursuit of a story. Hal has a degree in astrophysics from Trinity College Dublin. He is based in London.
