Maryn McKenna is an independent journalist specializing in public health, global health and food policy. She is a contributor to National Geographic and writes for Wired, the Atlantic, Slate, and the Guardian, among other publications. She is the author of the award-winning books Superbug (Free Press/S&S 2010) and Beating Back the Devil (Free Press/S&S 2004); her next book, about antibiotic use in agriculture, will be published by National Geographic Books in 2016.
