Late registration closed on October 15. Unfortunately, we cannot accept registrations after this date.

ScienceWriters2020 will be held virtually in October, with a core program the week of Oct. 19-23 as well as other satellite events throughout the month. Your registration fee covers all of these events. Many events will be recorded, and your registration includes the ability to access video of any archived sessions for six months post-conference. A small number of satellite events are limited attendance, and you will have the option to select these during registration. Limited attendance events are denoted on the schedule.

• All registration is handled securely online. Mail or phone in registrations are not accepted.
• Registration begins August 11 and closes on October 1 at 11:59PM PST.
• In some cases, a portion of the registration fee is refundable. See Cancellation Policy below for details.

Proceed to online registration

Within a few days of completing your registration, you will receive an invitation to join other attendees on Whova. Whova is our virtual conference center and can be accessed via the Whova app or the web.

With Whova, you can see who’s coming, view the program, connect with speakers and attendees, set personal meetings, start your own discussion groups, and more. Once the conference starts, you will “enter” every session by connecting from Whova. After the conference, attendees can use Whova to access recorded sessions for up to 6 months.

Cancellation policy

We hope that the virtual format of this year's ScienceWriters and the access to archived videos for the majority of the sessions (available 6 months post-event for registrants) makes it unlikely that you will need to cancel your participation entirely.

Should you need to cancel, either use the link on your confirmation email or send an email to workshops@nasw.org.

If your cancellation request is received by September 30, you will receive a full refund less a $20 processing fee. No refunds can be made once conference satellite events begin on October 1. Non-attendance does not constitute cancellation. Unfortunately, registrations are not transferable to another person.
