Evelyn Lamb
Mathematician & writer, Scientific American
Evelyn Lamb earned her Ph.D. in mathematics from Rice University in 2012. She was an AAAS-AMS mass media fellow at Scientific American in summer 2012. Although her research is in theoretical math, she is also passionate about increasing public understanding of all types of mathematics, including applied math and statistics. She has written about math and science for Scientific American, Slate, and Science, among other publications. Evelyn is now a postdoc in the math department at the University of Utah.
