Steve Miller

Steve Miller is a freelance science writer, currently specializing in curriculum materials for middle school and high school science. After more than 20 years in the chemical industry, Steve began writing in 1999. His writing and editing career has covered a wide range of assignments in the physical and earth sciences including textbook chapters, childrens' magazine articles, trade magazine articles, grant proposals, and press releases.
His articles have been published in a number of venues, including Analytical Chemistry, IEEE Spectrum, Photonics, and (one time only) The Boston Globe. Steve was the editor of a (misnamed) bimonthly publication Superconductor Week for two years. He is the author of two books, The Complete Idiot's Guide to the Science of Everything and Bridging the Gap, a childrens' book about bridges. He is also the coauthor of another book, High Performance Manufacturing.
