You know the types: researchers who speak only in gobbledygook, professors who head off on a tangent train to nowhere and experts who tell you everything's off the record ... and that's if you can get a hold of them in the first place. Whether they mean to or not, interview subjects, through their behavior, can seriously hinder our abilities to report on their work. Our expert panel will offer tricks and tips to help PIOs, print and broadcast journalists circumvent challenging personalities and get a great story. Our panelists will discuss several types of research professors and how best to work with them, and provide suggestions to maximize information gathering for print and broadcast journalists. We'll then open the floor to questions and additional suggestions from the audience.
