Gerald is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner (CFP®), a Chartered Financial Analyst® charterholder (CFA®) and a Chartered Market Technician (CMT). He has also received the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) and Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) designations from the American Institute of CPAs.

Gerald holds an undergraduate degree from East Carolina University and a graduate degree from North Carolina State University.
