New models for science journalism are emerging, bringing fresh challenges in managing content partnerships with government agencies, businesses and non-profit organizations, as well as questions of how best to serve readers. What is the impact of these partnerships on the quality of science journalism and classic church/state independence lines? Are these relationships transparent enough? What are some examples of the best new models for online science journalism? This workshop's goal is a forward-looking, constructive discussion of how best to develop an online environment for science journalism that provides information to the public that is accurate, informative and transparent.
